5 Knitting Bags To Better Organize Your Projects

Five knitting bags for organizing projects, from yarn organizers and needle roll bags to a waxed canvas tote and a leather bag, plus a sewing pattern.

A while back I laid out my suggestions for what the perfect project bag might include.

And while people were very interested in this tool, I received an email about my bag choice that got me thinking.

You see I recommended a backpack style bag, to which this person said they could not use. It would put too much stress on their back and shoulders.

That’s a good point, so I thought why not highlight some other bag designs that folks are falling in love with on Amazon.

So here are 5 additional bag options you might want to invest in:

If you’re a sweater knitter or really love working with multiple colors, this might be the bag for you. The yarn organization holes are incredibly useful, and this bag can hold 10 full sized skeins of yarn.

The design is patent pending and it’s side pocket is a great place to store some extra needles or knitting notions.

This bag is reminiscent of the needles holders from the 1960s and 70s. While the design is still relatively simple, there are a few features that make this bag stand out.

First is the mini-notions bag which can be attached to the bottom of the main bag. Second is the multiple carrying straps. You can easily swing it over your shoulder if needed. And finally is the removable dividers that can be repositioned inside the bag to organize new projects.

I got to meet these folks at last year’s H&H Cologne tradeshow. Let me say not only are these bags beautiful, they’re super clever. The way they open up allows for tons of space and easy access to your project.

Since they’re 100% leather they aren’t cheap, but they’ll last forever.
